The floodplain administrator is a federally mandated position responsible for administering and enforcing the Bryan County floodplain management regulations regarding corrective and preventative measures to reduce flood damage. These measures take a variety of forms, from flood hazard mitigation to permitting and regulating the development of anything structural or non-structural that would affect the flooding characteristics or flood damages.
